Found a few BRZ's in CO. Will ship to CA

So, In my search I came across a dealer in Colorado called Shortline Subaru.

The salesman I'd suggest is James at 303-210-8626
He's sold several to California and would be my first choice if I didn't already have something lined up locally.

He has a white premium manual coming in this week and several more on the horizon. Shipping to CA is approx $500 and he's selling at MSRP.

For those that are still shopping, this may be worth a call.

Disclaimer: I have no connection with this salesman or dealership. It's just a suggestion for those looking for a BRZ. I make no guarantees and your mileage may vary.

Just got an update. The white premium just landed today.

if they can ship it to a local dealership, that'd be cool. but if not, i'd recommend against trying to purchase out of state because of all the headaches involved. when there's an abundance of these cars later in the year, those with mark ups will lose all bargaining ability. i'd say just wait.

Bought mine from Deb @ Shortline, and drove it back to TX. I think James handled the financing stuff. If you have the time, there are some nice roads up around Denver that make the trip totally worth it. Could probably find even more heading west to CA. Dealing with the paperwork remotely was painless.

I found a deal on a plane ticket for the next day for $29 one way, Deb picked me up from the airport, spent ~$80 in fuel, and $80 for one night of hotel. Wound up saving money over shipping, the car was mostly broken in by the time I got home, and it was just a fun road trip.

Just something to think about.

I agree with TheRipler. Paperwork wise- not an issue. They can do all the CA dmv processing even having the temporary in the car upon arrival. If I didn't already have a deal in the works, this would have been my next choice. No markup!
While I would have liked to drive it back, I just don't have the time right now, which is why I would have shipped it. And it still would have been cheaper then most of the dealers here.

i can think of 4 dealerships in so cal that don't have mark ups and only 1 of those have add ons to inflate the price. i almost bought my brz from missouri, but i found one locally and in the color that i wanted with no mark up. just my 2 cents.

I just ordered my Black Limited MT from Heuberger Subaru (in CO). I've been working with Jeff and so far he's been great. They sold it $600 under MSRP and then added dealer charges and addons so it came out to about MSRP.

I've been looking in CA for a while now and it seems that most of the dealers either do first come first serve, or have $2000-$5000 markups. They've blown me off multiple times and stonewalled me on negotiation. I have a spreadsheet of all the dealers I've been looking at:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...UV0dUFVZi1aZEE

You're welcome to use it if it helps. I even started looking at dealerships that are close to airports, in case I could fly in and drive back or something. Eventually gave up and just went to CO. The $500 shipping charge is worth it compared to being on a million lists down here in CA or paying crazy markups.
