Amazing what people will complain about these days - pretty obvious the photo is taken on a race track.

I just hear whiny parents .. whether or not the billboards advertise it as such isn't going to stop kids from sliding around and fukn up.

Guff 08-27-2012 12:24 AM

'May cause slide effects'

THAT'S FREAKING GOLDEN! GOOD JOB TOYOTA NZ! :burnrubber::burnrubber:

BRAWL 08-27-2012 12:26 AM

"Won't someone please think of the children!"

Lisa@TrueStreetIndustries 08-27-2012 12:36 AM

Well that's just stupid. People are too willing these days to blame everything and everyone else before themselves for dumb actions.

I love the quote
Quote:

"Youngsters may not be able to afford a car like that when it is new but it is just the sort of vehicle they go for when they become available at decent second-hand prices."
Must be joking right? How bout Corvettes, Mustang, Supra, Skyline, STI, Holden, and all other over 280hp power RWD car. Seriously, his logic doesn't make ANY sense.

Also cheap second hand? By then, you won't see that billboard ANYWHERE.

Sad that they lost their kid... BUT at the same time, it's that kid's fault for getting into street racing, so I don't feel sorry for them. Am I cold-blooded? Maybe, but billboard = bad influence to kids, it's pretty hypocritical of them と say that. While at it, say all action and war game/movie is bad influence.

Conclusion, if you're parent and can't teach your kid to be smarter, it's parent's fault for not teaching your kid to be smart.

Yeah. Might be proof Darwin was right.

Good for Toyota New Zealand standing up for their advertisement.

wallace03 08-27-2012 02:40 AM

i really wished these cars werent advertised at all. i remember reading that they wouldnt be in north america (may have been just the brz) but ive seen the fr-s commercial on TV and all over espn.com's site when im trying to watch highlights. The less non-enthusiast, kids, and people in general to own these cars the better imo.

Off topic: If it's rare you want, there are plenty of cars on the market which may better suit your needs.

sho220 08-27-2012 02:56 AM

I don't understand how some people can ride as a passenger while the driver drives like a jack-hole...I'm nervous enough riding with people when they're driving normally...I much prefer to be the one behind the wheel...

cant afford rare :p want reliable, fun, and sexy! just dont like the idea of people who dont really appreciate the car getting one because they saw it on TV thinking its a super fast sports car that will impress people :mad0259: i know its inevitable, but the longer we get these cars to ourselves the better.

Their other billboard is pretty cool too. Shows the back right smoking up in a slide and reads:

"heart meet mouth"

Another has the car cornering and simply says "fun's back"
