Automatic shut-off
Hello Everyone
I recently got my FR-S but i noticed that headlights dont go off by itself. Is this normal? Thanks |
Yes. You paid for a raw sports car, not a luxury ;-)
|
Well my tC was cheaper and had auto shut off, so its not about how cheap the car was made.
|
iv never noticed since iv owned mine iv started it up maybe 3 times
|
luckily for me, i learned how to to twist my left wrist before i exit the car.
|
I'm glad they didn't have an auto headlights. Keep it ol skool!
Auto=laziness and accidentally leaving your lights on then having your battery drain should be a powerful lesson learned. :D |
Be happy you got variable intermittent wipers, auto scroll on BOTH windows and a lit key ignition. Those items alone are normally found on upper level trims.
That might be a Scion thing but on USDM Toyotas that's not something you get on a base model. To me it's a plus and I can live with having to turn my lights on and off manually. |
when you say "don't go off by itself" do you mean when the car is turned off? i drive with my headlights on anyways for safety even if it's bright out.

My dad has auto headlights on his Altima.
He never uses them, always just manually turns it on/off. I suppose if he left it on auto he always ends up thinking its still on when he gets out of the car. |
crap. i know i'mma end up with dead batteries left and right. >.<
