Part Numbers for Tranny & Diff Washer
Looking to drain my transmission and differential fluids out and fill them up with Amsoil. I tried calling Oakland Subaru/Toyota (same dealer) for these parts. The tranny & diff washers are special order since they do not stock them (yet?). As I understand from vast experience with Honda parts, special order parts are nonrefundable. Searching the forum, I found these part numbers:

Differential fill plug gasket: SU00300122 @$2.30 each Differential drain plug gasket: TOY1215710010 @$1.50 each Transmission fill/drain plug gasket: SU00303626 @>$11 each I'm assuming the new "SU" parts number means they are Subaru parts? I only got the drain plug gasket for the differential since that is the only one they have now. I believe its because it has the old parts number and they used it for other vehicles also. I'm not going to sweat the fill plug gasket for the diff. I'm just going to flip the old one and reuse it. The fill plug is near the top and the differential is not under any pressure so I'm sure it'll be fine. |
Just got a both pairs with part numbers quoted from Opie at Subaru. Rear diff drain and fill plugs look identical, but are both crush type washers. I recommend getting new ones to form a better seal. Price is 1.73 for fill, 1.98 for drain.
Yes, the transmission fill/drain washers are freaking $7.87 each. These are solid washers, and do not seem like they require replacing, but I special ordered these so I bought them. Though I got them at net price it was still freaking $5.19/washer. |
Could there be another part # for SU00300122 ? I can't seem to find it in certain parts catalogs.

I just changed my trans and diff fluids today. I got the necessary washers at:

Part # references on belmetric website? |
Transmission
2 flat washers - 24mm OD x 18mm ID x 2mm (drain and fill are same size) Belmetric: GA18X24T Differential 2 crush washers - 24mm OD x 18mm ID x 2mm (drain and fill are same size) Belmetric: GCA18X24 The stock washers I took off the transmission were virtually identical to the Belmetric GA18X24T. The stock washers from the differential were similar to Belmetric GCA18X24 but not copper. To be honest, if you wanted to you could even use the same ones used for the transmission. Just make sure to use a torque wrench to get proper torque to 'crush' the washers. |

Thanks for the info, have you had any leaks yet? And it works like the original version?

Unfortunately, the Belmetric offerings seem to no longer be available 7 years later.
If anyone finds this thread looking for 3rd part alternatives to the stupid expensive-for-what-they-are OEM gaskets, check these out if you're looking to buy everything in one go, or the below if looking to order separately. OEM Trans drain/fill gaskets are 18x24x2mm flat washers - Copper 18x24x2mm washers - Another copper 18x24x2mm washer option from a different Amazon vendor - PTFE 18x24x2mm washers - Copper 18x24x1.5mm washers - Aluminum 18x24x1.5mm washers OEM rear diff drain/fill gaskets are 18x24x2mm crush washers - Searching "1215710010" on Amazon will yield tons of results for that are great bang for buck (15-30 pieces for anywhere from $5-10 with prime shipping) |
