Is it me, or does every time Memphis posts, I read it like Kevin Bacon is saying it with the tone of his avatar? haha

This may be a stupid question...but for those who are having problems, why don't you replace the stock intake and see if the problem goes away?

I believe that Perrin set out to make 1 aftermarket intake and AFTER realizing they had issues with the MAF decided to make one that would run as close to stock as possible.
Also, I know that money is an issue to some people but I come from the school of thought that in order to get max potential from your parts that a tune IS required. Even if the manufacturer says that one is not required. Now, and I hope you got this far: this is a first year car and not all variables have been taken into account by aftermarket parts companies/tuners. This type of thread is specifically what is needed to make others aware of issues that may arise. I know that I will be pushing back my intake purchase until these issues are resolved. And I hope that others also take threads like these into account before making purchases it he future. To those that already bought the intakes and tunes: Thank you, for being brave enough to be the beta testers for these cars. You are doing us all a great service. |

Hi guys, just so you know we have been monitoring this thread and will be doing some data logging with our own FR-S here at our facility. We will be sure to report our findings as soon as we have something.

out of curiosity I removed my K&N Panel Filter and reinstalled the stock filter on my Visconti Tuned BRZ. Engine seems a lot smoother in the 1500-3000 RPM range.
Doubt that will help anyone here, but just an observation. |

Your observation along with this one is what I found when I removed the K&N drop in filter to go back to stock. |
