Whats underneath your Scion FRS?? *VIDEO*

I took a quick video focusing on what is underneath the 2013 Scion FRS. Only Toyota part I could find was the Torsen LSD Diff from Toyota. Everything else from the brake calibers, muffler, to the undertray was marked Subaru. If you never got a chance to look underneath the Scion FRS here is your chance

Well considering that the FR-S is manufactured in a Subaru plant, it only makes sense that everything is branded Subaru. When I removed my rear bumper Subaru was stamped all over everything under the skin as well. Toyota designed the FR-S, Subaru engineered it and manufactured it. This car says Subaru but screams Toyota, when's the last time Subaru came out with a design that was "sleek"? ;)

Yeah Subaruau have made it but the exterior design is all Toyota. You guys seen the prototype 2014 wrx doing hot weather? It looks just like the current impreza. Hopefully it was just a body shell doing the testing. We need more good looking subies!

calis5nest 08-25-2012 11:49 PM

lol everything said Subaru thanks 4 sharing

i'm lucky. one of my friends works at lexus, and i KNOW he's gonna wanna toss it up on a lift. even before we have to lift it to put exhaust or anything else on it.

ooo, just thought of something else....maybe he can get the tires cheaper

Keep in mind, the vin tags all have Subaru logo/badge, the oil filter is a Subaru. Even the fenders have Subaru stamped on them.

I wonder if all subarus are over-labeled, or if this was subaru's way of making sure everyone knows they are the ones actually building the car lol. Seems like a desperate grab for attention to me, but if subaru does this on all cars then I guess its ok.

They usually label a lot of the parts but it does seem a little excessive on this car.

I will let you guys know later if any of the interior shares this similarity ;)

The interior is the same. Everything says Subaru on it.

travace 08-29-2012 12:22 PM

the trunk says subaru as well

Push 08-29-2012 07:04 PM

lol I think Subaru is trying to tell us something...

Symbiont 08-29-2012 07:22 PM

The Scion badge says 'Subaru' on the back, or so a detailer tells me (he helped someone debadge).
