Found the perfect spot for an extinguisher
2 Attachment(s)
Mine fits perfect. there are 2 screws underneath the cup holder mat that you can use to hold down a bracket.
you should make a plastic or rubber cover for it so it isn't so noticeable.
Holy ****. That's PERFECT!
Really?
I need to have an extinguisher installed and within reach of the driver for the hill climb I'm doing tomorrow.
I didn't want to drill into anything and I almost forgot about it. I just happened to find those 2 screws under there after I saw it would fit. This way it is easily removed and you can put the cup holder and mat back in and it's like it was never there |
Can you provide any info on your extinguisher? It's a perfect fit.
If only I didn't value a cup holder over a fire extinguisher!
I would only use it when required for a track day. Other wise the cupholder would be installed
That's amazing. I hope that was intentional on the part of the designers.

Dry type B&C Model FE5GR 2.5lb... 4lb total, I think about 12" high and 3" wide I can't remember where I bought it |
RazBRZ, thanks again for the idea.
Ran to Wallyworld yesterday and picked up a Kidde Auto Fire Extinguisher. Same dimensions as yours. Ran $14.00 http://images.discountofficeitems.co...741f6b4bc0.jpg I made a mounting plate out of 3/16" aluminum. 5" x 4.25". Drilled and countersunk for the extinguisher mount and drilled for the armrest bolts. I ended up using some longer bolts that I had to mount the plate. http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...ps31a7f6df.jpg |
Very clever! I'll hafta remember that if I get to take my future BRZ to a hillclimb or HPDE.
Oh yeah, sorry I forgot about the longer bolts :bonk:.
Looks great, I'm glad people like the idea |
