2015 BRZ No Start

Car is a 2015 BRZ Automatic with Sprintex tuned with Ecutek.

I've searched and nothing has solved the issue we have with our BRZ. A week or so ago the car wouldn't start, so I had my wife get in and hit the button and I tapped the starter and it started. So I replaced the starter and it worked for 2-3 days. Now it wont start again and tapping the starter isn't working and it tested good.

Accessories all come on and I have traced the entire starting system from the park safety switch, brake switch, start button, fuses and relays. All of these checked out.

The only thing that has changed was an Ecutek update the day before it wouldn't start after replacing the starter.

I am out of ideas and wondering if anyone has had the same issue or any suggestions.

Update

After some reading and researching, holding the key fob to the start button for 30 seconds started the car and I haven't had an issue since. Not sure what it did or fixed but the battery in the key was changed about 6 months ago so it isn't dead.

Double check the battery in the fob. I have recently had bad luck with the Amazon Basic brand of batteries. I had to go to an Autozone and get an Energizer, the Amazon Basic battery only lasted about a month.

If you keep your fob close to your cell phone it will kill the fob battery.

I have had issues with brand new duracell batteries not working at all. I've been buying the no-name cheap one from the post office and they work fine.
Or perhaps the starter relay in the fuse box is getting tired.

interesting, my phone is in a little sleeve between seat & center console, and key fob is on lanyard from the gear shift hanging within 6" or so from phone. Recently had minor issue unlocking a door when pulling handle w/ fob in pocket. Could've sworn I replaced the battery in the last 12 months.

Where are they when you're not in the car?
