got a great deal on some Konig Zero-In's for my Ultramarine FR-S.

i didn't want plain black or silver wheels and am perfectly fine with the red stripe. i think it'd be a nice look as it matches the interior, BUT i also think that a blue stripe would look pretty sick. i didn't want to paint them as that's kinda irreversible so i stopped by pep boys and found some blue 1/4" pinstriping vinyl for $5. figured i'd give it a shot and honestly i'm pretty happy with how it came out. the picture with both color wheels is more accurate in terms of the color of the blue. i took the first 2 solo shots kinda up close with flash and it washed out the color a bit.

so what do you guys think? i know it's kinda tacky but i enjoyed doing it and really like how it came out. that being said it did take a while and if i'm gonna spend another 3 hours on the rest of them, i'd like to know anybody else likes the look. thanks for the feedback.

I like it, I would consider blacking out the headlight housings and paint the projector shrouds blue. Idk I think that would look cool, hopefully not overkill.
But yeah, good work :)

honestly it looks good.

thanks. i don't think i'd be able/willing to do any blacking out. definitely not capable of that kinda stuff. i've only ever done 3 mods to cars including taping these wheels. the first was installing some exhaust tips and the second was swapping the license plate lights for some LEDs haha. after the wheels, i think i'm gonna start putting money aside for the 86 spoiler. we'll see though.

Haha, trust me I'm not That savvy myself. I paid to get mine blacked out, I love how they came out. I don't trust myself doing that.
I'm really happy with how my car looks right now, but ultimately I want some nice wheels and decent coilovers. Just installed the air raid intake, later add a cat-back and that's probably it. So yeah: wheels, coilovers, intake & exhaust and I'm set.

decided to go through with it and have updated the OP with the results after coming back to a friend house and washing the car. thanks for the input everyone. i absolutely love how it turned out. we'll see how long the tape lasts but i'm fine with the red stripe regardless.

Wow! I really like those wheels. They look bigger than 17 inches. I take it you can use the stock tires with these, right? I think that little strip of red would look great on the raven or asphalt colors too. I like what you did with the blue tape. I noticed you posted this back in October. How did the tape hold up?

thanks, man. yea, i didn't wanna go bigger than 17's because i wanted to try and save some money by 1, buying smaller wheels (less than 18) and 2, not having to buy new summer tires. so i have my stock primacy tires on these konigs and i put my winters on the stock wheels.

the tape is actually holding up better than i thought. i'm back to stock wheels now because of winter, but the tape on those wheels hasn't budged the slightest.

Looks good, is Konig made in Germany?
