OFT flex fuel?
I understand that a custom e85 OFT flex fuel tune is needed to work with the , Visconti BRZ/FRS/86 Flex Fuel Kit V3 (via OBD-II CAN bus). My question is is there any sacrifice in performance compared to the canned 93 and e85 tunes.:iono: :thanks:

Probably, no difference in performance, just a convenience thing.
But I'm interested to hear others thoughts. I'm going to go flex fuel oft the penguin tech racing flex fuel kit in the future. I didn't know there was a can bus option we could use and though evap connector was the only way. Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using Tapatalk |
too much headache to be honest. I would get the GJP flex fuel kit system and get an ecutek tune. Ecutek supports flex fuel tunes out of box. have Graham @ Boosted Performance do it he did my GRC and the tune came out perfect.
I plan to have him do a flex fuel tune when I get around to upgrading to flex fuel as well. |
please stop being cheap
have an ecutek tune , flex is very very good on it |

Gerald is a cool dude I got to meet him at the 86 Matsuri here in Texas. I'll eventually buy one! I miss my OFT E85 tune, but the oil changes smelling like a cheap bottle of $3 tequila I do not miss. Will be doing a flex e40/50 tune for sure! |
for who needs it, i can still tune USDM cars with old fashion flex fuel sensor hooked to o2 or cpc input instead of CANbus
Now every tuner does only canbus sensor with shitty bugged racerom 13.3 |
I reached out to the banned oft Guru, Steve99. He has set me all up.

I could not be happier with my custom flex fuel tune done by Steve (please don't ban me too). He patiently helped me through the simple process. His replies were fast. I went with the Penguin Tech Kit. It took a few hours to install. He tweaked 4 different log files I sent him. The car absolutely ROARS now.
