Duracell battery let me down
 

I knew the battery was getting weak. I went on the trip anyway. I brought a jump starter with me and when my 2015 brz wouldn’t start at the hotel, I used the jump starter and got it running. I thought everything was gonna be fine made it almost home until the car just stopped going right in the middle of downtown. It would crank, but it just wouldn’t start. Ended up getting a tow home to the tune of about $450.

Took my Duracell car battery to Sam’s for replacement. It tested good and even after waiting for 45 minutes so they could slow charge it, it’s still tested good. I took the battery to Costco and traded it in on AGM interstate battery. Put that sucker in and it’s been running great ever since.

I don’t know what could be wrong with the car battery that would make the computer just completely flake out and die like that, but my advice is never go cheap on a car battery. I certainly won’t.
