Wind Damaged BRZ's

Hi all,

I think I posted this originally in the wrong form and/or in the wrong forum. I just wanted to let y'all know that there was some 20-25 BRZ's that were damaged in some form of high winds.
Subaru being Subaru, will not be selling these cars to our customers. So they are scrambling to have unsold, allocated units diverted to take the place of sold units.

I remember this happened with the very first shipment of BMW 1-series cars when they were released here. The ship listed strongly to one direction and the cars didn't remain stationary. This caused a lot of damage but BMW fixed and sold the cars to unsuspecting customers.

Subaru's vessel insurance will cover the loss, although customers on the other hand, have to wait longer for their cars... Good to know that Subaru is scrapping the cars instead of fixing them up (and have problems down the road).

Saabaru!

maybe theyll fix them and use as press cars or something

Use them as demo/test-drive cars for all those different dealerships!

They should give one to me... I would properly scrap it. Eventually. Maybe.

Sell them at a discount to privateers explicitly for racing use only. That would be the best way to make use of them rather than scrapping them immediately.

They won't scrap them, they will be sold at dealer auctions to Subaru dealerships. The dealerships can then sell them to customers but must disclose that they are wind damaged cars with no warranty on the exterior panels of the car, including paint. Happens every once in awhile.
