Quick question on this. Are these bits considered "softer" than what the leather pads are. I like to rest my left elbow on the door while driving, but the support is so little that after a while is just uncomfortable. So I was just wondering if the padding on these is different i.e., more comfortable.

I'd argue it's a bit softer due to material and a bit more padding.
