P0011 & P000A After Valve Spring Recall Work Done
 

Anyone have any idea what the tie in would be for these codes (P0011, P000A) to come up within 25 miles of getting the car back after having the valve spring recall done?

Dealer did some troubleshooting, and ended up replacing the timing chain (assuming just on that bank of the engine). Then decided that the engine needed to be replaced! Not sure how they arrived at this conclusion!

I'm NOT the owner of the car, just trying to help a friend get it figured out.

If I'm correct these codes both indicate a problem with the passenger side intake cam timing/phasing.

Anyone have any ideas what might be going on?
