Cusco Power Brace rear member bolts
Hi all ! I just got a 2nd hand set of Cusco rear braces for cheap in Japan :
CUSCO Power Brace Rear Member Side (965 492 RS) https://d1jzipsk7hwhx6.cloudfront.ne...68806/2095.JPG https://www.xd-auto.com/image/xd-aut...-2084x2084.jpg Unfortunately, it didn't come with the mounting bolts. Before I start the installation, can anyone tell me if they can be mounted with the stock bolts or if they need longer ones ? Many thanks for your help |

Yes, the original kit normally includes 2 bolts for the LCA side. The other side attaches directly with the stock existing bolt.
Apparently it needs a slightly longer bolt on the LCA side as the cylinder shaped end of the brace it a few millimetres thick. I think I can get away with it by using the leftover OEM LCA to knuckle bolts that I no longer use since I have camber adjustable SPC LCAs with eccentrics. They are slightly longer than the OEM LCA to subframe bolts so it should work in case the regular ones are too short. |

Any idea what the thread pitch and grade of the bolts are? Asked Cusco and they told me to buy new ones from them... |

Coming back with the solution after installing the braces a few days ago, for those who will come after. Everything worked fine with the OEM LCA to knuckle bolts. They are a little bit shorter than 80mm but were ok.
I can't emphasize enough how much of an improvement those braces bring on the rear axle. More direct transmission of the torque to the road even from low rev, better curve exit stability and a global more solid behavior on bumps. For the price of them, that's 10/10 for me. |

However I've seen similar braces which mount onto the lower arm similar to the Cusco, but instead mounts onto the rear subframe on the other end. Pretty cheap as one of the companies manufacturing these bars is where I live, but not sure if it will have the same effect. |
