New V3 Vland headlights: DRL keeps all bulbs on?

Please help.

I have the new v3 vland headlights (middle DRL across the whole headlight). everything works but one thing: when my daytime lights are on its also turning on my low and high beams? any idea why? my buddy thinks its a voltage issue because the DRL only uses 5 volts but its also turning on the bulbs?

Car is a 2013 FRS so the headlights came with a 6 to 8pin attachment.

You ever figure out the issue?
