Help P050B After Automatic Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill
I have a 2015 Scion Frs stock with 72k miles and I did my 1st automatic transmission fluid drain and fill and rear differential fluid change which I found also the steps in here. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129898 . I followed the steps in checking the ATF temperature by inserting jumper between pins 4 (common ground) and pin 13 (TC) on your OBD2 port. I forgot to remove the jumper on OBD port because I went under the car to do final check of ATF level and when I was happy with the level and torqued the plug. Turn off the car with the key on the ignition. After maybe 20mins I noticed I forgot to remove the jumper on OBD2. I turned on the car to test drive but check engine light is on and used a scanner with code P050B. Do you think I messed up something that's why I'm getting the code. I reset the code and drive the car about 55miles and its driving fine, the CEL is not showing up, I did not see anything out of the ordinary. Any recommendation what should I check. I'm planning to check the ECT tomorrow.

I'd say keep driving the car, watch for any malfunctions or return of the error code/CEL. if none show up you're _probably_ okay. |
Update. I just got worried since I’m due for smog for registration in California. I drove it till readiness test is completed so far no more code. Thank you.
