I'm sad

Hello beautiful people, if they are still here, old friends. I am a little drunk right now, excuse me. My car, which I have used every minute of it with excitement and love for 6 years, is currently Subaru BRZ as you can see in the pictures. When it was 90 thousand kilometers, I used the Würth brand injector cleaner that I put in to clean my beloved engine a little and make it a little happy, and my engine became like this. I never delayed its service. I never withheld my love from it. My beloved car became like this. I cannot understand. Can an injector cleaner end this love so abruptly? The masters said that injector cleaners can never be put in Subaru.

I do not know if I will have enough money, I will try to have a nice one done; but it seems a little difficult. Could my car, which I care for so much, become like this with the most reliable German brand injector cleaner that everyone uses in my country, which is a broken-ass injector cleaner? How did this happen? How is it possible?

Injector cleaners, even though the car already has its own cleaning system, should be relatively safe. There must be some other underlying issues that caused problems.

Now I am going to ask a stupid question but did you put the injector in the engine, as oil, or in you gas tank.

Good you're back. I was wondering about you. But terrible engine news.

I have to also ask, where did you pour the cleaner?

korhun 06-19-2025 05:34 PM

I put it in the gas tank and filled the tank up. There was nothing wrong about half of the tank burn up, untill I decided to rev the engine to redline. I love my car, and found a new engine to be installed soon. I hope to use it many years..

This was what I've used for injector cleaning. Its a highly used and liked product in my country. My mechanic said you or the previous services on your car cannot make this damage but that injector cleaner that had changed the timing of the ignition.

I'm excited about the new engine, I hope my mechanic knows what he is doing.

While I am happy to see you post again this is unfortunate circumstance.

I don’t believe this to be the case. These cars do a pretty good job of compensating for conditions. Detonation shouldn’t cause this. It looks like a freak occurrence.

I did a google search for that product and the same color is for a Diesel cleaner and not gasoline.

Next time read the instructions for the cleaner...

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pour into gas tank. Fill gas tank with gasoline to full. Drive until gas tank is half full. Replace engine. Your injectors are now clean.

Sapphireho 06-20-2025 06:04 PM

Being serious now, I would drain the gas tank of any fuel that has that cleaner in it and fill with fresh before starting with new engine.

The long block doesn't come with injectors. IMHO: I'd recommend having the injectors professionally serviced and the entire fuel system flushed.
