Replacing battery in 2023 key fob?
When I parked earlier I got the yellow triangle and the warning that the battery was low.
I'm seeing conflicting info on whether I have to take it to the dealer to be reprogrammed. I haven't been able to dig out the manual yet, my office is a mess at the moment, we had to clear out my closet yesterday as we had a pretty big risk of tornados and the closet in my office is the only room in the house the 3 dogs and the fiance and I can fit in with no external walls. |
if anything like gen 1, just pop the seam & replace w/ like battery, reseal. ive had to change mine 3 or 4 times.

Replaced on mine without issues.
Open, replace, close. Done. |
They're the same as the first gens with a push start. Pop the battery out, replace, works like new again.
They do seem to need replaced fairly frequently. My old push button fobs from Subaru would go 5+ years or more, sometimes even longer, without needing replaced. These fancy fobs need batteries every ~2 years or shorter sometimes. |

And I thought, "How f@cking stupid is that?" |
My dealership swapped my battery out for free while the was in for a routine service visit. YMMV.
The light just happened to come on while they were doing their check-in routine and the SA did it right there on the spot. |

And they swapped it out for free, I said, "Damn, I should have brough the spare." He said, "Just bring it with the next time you stop by and we will swap it out for you." |
