ECUTEK Flashing Question

I have a BRZ running a tune from 2021. I have the ROM file and its unlocked. It uses features no longer available.

If I modify this, will I be able to flash it with the latest ProECU or is this restricted? Are there any disadvantages to modifying this older MAP (from 2021) as opposed to starting from a new one.

You can modify the old tune but not any of the restricted settings they are locked out in new ecutek software

Are there any benefits to moving to a new tune as opposed to modifying the old tune?

You should be able to flash it in just fine. Stock tunes are stock tunes, won't matter which one you start with (as long as it is year appropriate) but the newer RR patches definitely have some additional features (CAN integration, bug fixes) that may or may not matter for you.
