Found low mileage 2020 Toyota 86 Hakone Edition

The link is dead so I'm assuming it was purchased. Mods please delete this thread.
Not sure if this is the right section to post this. I have been looking locally, TN, for a 2020 Hakone and came across this one for sale at a Honda dealership in a suburb of Denver, CO.
It had 4 owners but has a clean Carfax. As of today the website says it's still available. From the website: Pre-Owned vehicle pricing includes all offers, incentives and Dealer Handling Fees. Honda does not charge a dealer handling fee. [/B]Tax, Title and Tags not included in vehicle prices shown and must be paid by the purchaser.
The dealership is located ~42 miles southwest of Denver International Airport. For a second or two I was thinking about flying out from Knoxville to Denver, $58.one way on AllegiantAir and driving it back.

Looks pretty but four owners is scary.

From the Carfax it looks like it's counting the Honda dealership as the 4th owner.

Why? A car could have many great owners, or one shitty owner. Inspect the car.

19% off original MSPR for a 5 model year old car? KBB says the car is about $19K. So, I guess it depends if you want to pay a premium or not.

How are you getting a KBB dealer price of $19K?? Trade-In value??

Dealer Price based on Good Condition or Better
Has some repairable cosmetic defects and is free of major mechanical problems. Of course not known until you inspect the vehicle.
https://www.kbb.com/toyota/86/2020/h...hicleid=446047

And there's the dealer doc fee to consider which this dealership is not charging. It is now an average of $800. in TN on all cars and higher in Georgia.

Do a nationwide search on any of the used car websites for a Hakone. Anything close to $20K with higher mileage will have a salvage title. No way would I pay this much, but someone will: https://www.carmax.com/car/26940476

Looks like i had something wrong when I looked it up. KBB retail sales value is between $21K and $24K in good condition. It's only slightly higher for Excellent condition but personally I don't think any car with 3 or 4 owners in 4 years is going to be in Excellent condition.

I guess it just depends if you are willing to pay the price, regardless.

My point is that a car which changes hands every year could be a problem child. Why would multiple owners dispose of this car so quickly? Being a special edition should give it a collectibility factor. But perhaps it’s just been a rich-boys toy all its life, but not likely.
Also, I wonder, does the “clean” Carfax show regular maintenance or nothing at all?
With the exception of tire shops my FRS hasn’t seen a mechanic since I took ownership. From purchase at two years old all maintenance and repairs have been done by me at home. Mostly over the winter while it sleeps in our heated garage/shop.
My Carfax should be spotless since I took ownership because I’m handy. Most owners don’t have my tools, facility and self-taught skills. Call it my hobby.

People who love their car take care of it. People who regret buying a car don’t maintain it. They dump it.

Sorry for the ramble. :burnrubber:

You are making assumptions that 3 not 4 previous owners, read the Carfax carefully, is really, really bad for a 4-5 year old car. I agree with Sapphireho. The only way we wil know if this is true is to INSPECT THE CAR.
