FS: 2015 - K24 FRS Race Car - GLTC ready (or any other series)
1 Attachment(s)
OK gents, it's finally time to put my top of the line, K24 FRS race car for sale. It has 1 race weekend and some test days on the K24 and brand new Bilstein MDS 2-way dampers. No expense spared, top tier race build. Super light, super fast, super clean. Professionally maintained. Have a bunch of other ongoing projects, and just haven't been racing this, so want somebody else to enjoy it.
Can race any series, currently tuned for GLTC. Ready to go, turn-key race car. See the add here. You can contact me directly at: pervez@rssynthesis.com 502-419-8780 |
Man, I would love for your car to be worth $50k, because that means my car is worth $75k, but it's probably closer to $20k.
It's not really set up for any class "to the rules" and many expenses were clearly spared. You can't say "no expense spared" when you're running cast/flow forged wheels that need wheel spacers, no Motec, no comms, an AIM mxm, no dry sump/accusump, no fuel surge tank, etc. I know what it costs to build these things. I probably have 125 hours in labor (from a competent shop)+ $20k in parts just to take it from an ST car to endurance car. It was gutted, caged, had the big brakes, cooling, venting, etc. $30k later I had a "most expenses spared" race car. It never ends. But realistically, I'd be very lucky to get $30-35k out of this car, and we took 2nd and 3rd at COTA (WRL), including making the wrong tire choice both days in semi-wet conditions (doh!). Again, I hope you get it, but it seems very high. With that said, I did have a question. How are you running GT3 brake ducts and "clubsport" shocks? Like, off a Porsche GT3? |
I sold mine for $32k in late May, for comparison sake.
I'm fairly certain I could have gotten more if I'd been more patient and listed it for more (it sold at asking price). |

The car is also not tired from endurance racing. The condition of the entire car is minty fresh, as are all the parts on it. Bilstein makes MDS motorsport 2-way shocks for this car. The same ones used for VLN racing (endurance as well) in Europe for the factory Toyota/TMG race cars. PSI in cali services them. I haven't raced the car for a couple years, so no reason to buy Apex forged wheels for it when it's sitting in my garage. Appreciate the input, but I'm in no rush to move it, and if it doesn't sell for what I want for it, then no big deal. I can either lower the price to meet market demand, accept a lower offer, or keep it. |
My buddy just sold a GLTC spec 1990 NA miata chassis, with K24, ABS, and other typical goodies for about $35K. If that car is worth 35K, pretty sure my car isn't worth less than an old, tired 1990 miata.
IMO, people are under pricing the FRS/GT86 platforms. |
To say the car is at the front of a GLTC Field that has been changing over the past 4 years is quite a statement, especially when the car has sat and hasn't competed in a constant evolving series.
I disagree on a fair amount of statements, but wish you the best of luck. I took a bath on my FRS, I just hope you prepare yourself for the same |
