fa24 auto/manual difference

What's the difference between an fa24 from an auto car vs a manual car? I know that the fa20 has a couple of differences like an extra vacuum pump and some trans cooling stuff.

Manual is way more cool.

6MT twins accelerate a full second faster than 6AT twins.

The 6AT cars get better fuel economy though. This is due to them having very different gear ratios. The acceleration gap between Gen 1 6MT vs. 6AT twins used to be a lot wider too...those Gen 1 6AT cars were absolute slugs, and I think that's where the bad rep of twins getting gapped by minivans and normal commuter cars comes from.

Compared to the FA20, almost nothing. Complete engine assemblies have different part numbers between MT and AT for the FA24 but that’s only because the manual longblock comes with a clutch bolted to it and the auto doesn’t. Besides that, they’re entirely interchangeable.

ok so I might not have been specific enough. I want to know the difference in the parts bolted onto the motors. for example the air pump for the auto/block off plate for the manual. I just need to know if there are any other differences.

There are none. There is no block off plate on the manual anymore. The difference in the 2 longblock assemblies you see in subaru’s parts system is whether or not there is a clutch bolted to it.
