Anyone know the part #?
1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, installing a clock spring into my 2016 frs and I realized to get the horn working I need a connector that I don't have.
Anyone have any idea what the part number is on this connector?? Attached photo for reference. Thanks! |
Typically you can’t buy the connectors separately from Subaru, or most manufacturers come to think of it. You might try Iwire and see if they can source one.

There is a good chance that you can find the connector in this Toyota Reference Guide
|
I forgot about a reference I found years ago. Tarzan's post jogged my memory. This came in handy for me when looking for a replacement body for the MAF connector.

It is probably best to find it at a local junkyard with a total FR-S/BRZ/GT86 since the part # isn't available

I have a parts car right now that I haven't scrapped yet. Grabbed the harness just a bit ago and happy to ship it to you.
Posting here so you don't think I'm one of those "PM my friend who definitely has the part and totally isn't a scammer" people. https://i.imgur.com/JFBBdlTl.png |
Hey yall,
all of the replies are much appreciated. Sorry couldn't get back to this thread sooner, this website was actin funky past couple days for me. Hooked everything up with my aftermarket spring installed and things were feeling very stiff. Watched a tutorial vid and low and behold, not only was I missing the clock spring, but also the steering angle sensor... Gonna be the next thing I try and source haha |
Alright, after acquiring the steering angle sensor thanks to e1_griego, I was able to get the horn working and put everything back together.
NOW the issue I am having is that the steering feels SUPER stiff and sounds like its rubbing on the clock spring or something. I have the works bell 540s with an nrg qr. After ****ing around with it for a couple hours Im stumped. The steering feels fine without the clockspring installed but with it on and everything torqued down to spec, the car wont even self correct after a turn haha. |

- Do you have the resisters installed correctly? You should hear a "click" when you press the lock tabs or it will trigger the abs/airbag/steering wheel light. - So you hear a grinding noise? Mine had a slight metallic grinding noise too. It turn out to be the outer ring on the hub was slightly rubbing plastic trim covers (the trim w/ the two phillips head screws.) Just file it down a bit or overtime it'll go away. May be different with yours I'm using an NRG Hub http://i.imgur.com/8QYlSF1.jpg If you want to retain your cruise control then you should consider this bracket made by DND. Hope this helps. Good Luck on this fun little project. http://i.imgur.com/O4BawXn.jpg |
