How I found 2.5s at Watkins Glen
 

GREAT event at Watkins Glen with COMSCC last week! I was drivin my new-to-me '22 Mazda MX-5 RF (aka "Miata"). Was working my *arse* off but best times were in the 2:16.8x range, 3s off my best lap in the BRZ last year :( Just before time-trials I went for a quick spin on the street, and driving back into the garage area noticed a slight pulsing on the brake pedal. Cracked brake rotor! Damn... Was gonna sit out the time trial but then my bud (great driver whom I licensed a couple of events back) offered up his GR86 for me to drive in the TT, I did not hesitate! 2nd TT lap at 2:14.3x was within a tenth of my class record time from last year! Stock suspension car with camber bolts, on 245s (A052s or RE71RS I forget). Car was *amaze-balls* considering so stock...

It says MX-5 but I was drivin GR86. I had myself disqualified because after the TT found that I was underweight by 38 lb. I'm just glad the lap times are still posted :D
