I did and they responded!
Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. Installing the CSG Brembo BM4 on your 2023 Toyota GR86 involves several key steps to ensure proper fit and function. First, secure the car by lifting it and removing the wheels. Clean all brake components thoroughly. Remove the existing brake caliper and bracket, along with the old brake pads and rotor. Position the new guiding bracket (caliper bracket) and secure it to the wheel hub with the provided bolts, tightening them to 85-90 Nm (63-66 ft-lbs). Install the new rotor onto the hub and ensure it is properly seated. Next, position the new caliper over the rotor and guiding bracket, securing it with bolts torqued to 28-32 Nm (21-24 ft-lbs). Insert the new brake pads into the caliper, ensuring they are correctly seated. Connect the brake lines to the new caliper, tightening the banjo bolt to 20-25 Nm (15-18 ft-lbs), and bleed the brakes to remove any air from the system. Finally, reinstall the wheels and lower the car. Double-check all bolts for proper torque, ensure brake fluid levels are adequate, and perform a test drive to confirm that the brakes are functioning correctly. If you are new to DIY car repairs, we recommend reaching out to a mechanic or dealership to ensure there are no issues after installation and to ensure all parts are correctly fitted and functioning safely. Appreciate your understanding. Thank you for choosing BrembostoreUSA.com! |

The caliper to bracket torque seems too low; these seem more aligned with the conventional sliding calipers.
My Brembo GT kit, bracket bolts are torqued up to 115 Nm For your safety, I recommend getting a second reference/opinion. Again, below are instructions for the GT kit, but I presume the BM4 is very similar as far as structural requirements and integration. |
