Installing auto-dimming rear view mirror on Toyota 86 JDM import

So I did as suggested, pulled out the dome light and found the connector in the roof lining, however the 3 pin subaru connector would not fit, looks like my car has a 4 pin connector - any suggestions on where I can get the plug so I can rewire the adapter cable please?

Are you the same person who contacted me on the other forum for a homelink mirror harness for international models? If not, feel free to PM me. I can build something for this.

Posting here as well in case anyone else finds this and needs the info in the future: 3-pin mating connector for the autodim mirror is Yazaki 7122-8335.

Just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly:

North American / non-JDM 86's will have the standard 3-pin connector hiding in the headliner, which requires a 3-pin to 12-pin harness in order to plug into the autodimming mirror (12-pin in this case, the HomeLink), which can just be bought from Subaru.

However, the JDM 86's seem to have a 4-pin connector instead, meaning we will require that 3-pin adaptor, plug it in, then plug in the 3-pin to 12-pin harness that goes to the mirror.

Am I correct? I have the Homelink mirror laying around and was planning to import a JDM 2012 86 to Canada in 2 years. Just want to make sure I understood correctly!

Considering importing a JDM 86 in a few years once legal in NA.. I went ahead and subscribed to the YT channel, but was wondering if you have any tips/insight on things to look out for with the JDM ones.

ah thank you, I can assure you a lot of the wiring is very different, even the starlink cable had about 5 wires as opposed to like 20 for US
They also are not undersealed, or have a rear fog but things are pretty easy to add, or change pins, will help anyway I can
