Looking for a set of Apex SM-10RS or VS-5RS 17x9 +35 wheels. Posting here before buying a new set during their next 15% off + free shipping promotional period.

Thanks, I reached out to him prior to posting but we’re likely too far in price. He’s asking too much imo when a brand new set during promotion periods is $1934 shipped + tax.

To be fair, with your supposed promotional offer (15% discount) my specific wheels would actually be $2,139 + tax.


AND you offered me $1,500 for just wheels which means I’d have to pay to remove tires and sell those separate. I’d say $1,500 for almost new wheels is a bit of a low ball offer to say the least. :thumbsup:

Its completely your prerogative to sell your property for however much or little you please. Similarly, its my prerogative to buy used wheels for however much or little I please. I simply made an offer via PM after seeing that they have sat unsold for 5 months, and you declined, to which I responded with "No worries, GLWS".

I'm personally not interested in buying used wheels at near-new prices in general — I'd rather go with a brand new set of SM-10RS in my color preference of choice for $1934 + tax during the next sale period instead, and gain eligibility for their replacement program as well, which is not extended to non-original owners.

The 15% off sale also isn't "supposed" at all... lol. I would know, as I've purchased three sets of forged Apex wheels before, all of which were bought during such promotional periods. Anyone who has shopped Apex wheels for the past few years can attest to that. Their "tax refund season" sale last month (as well as many other previous sales), for which they sent out the below email advertisement, proves as much. Forged VS5-RS and SM-10RS routinely go for 15% off throughout the year during seasonal sales — that's a fact.

You're correct in that your choice of brushed clear finish incurs a premium/upcharge from Apex compared to other finishes, bringing their "discounted" price to ~$200 more than other finishes. At the end of the day, the person who is going to be willing to pay you the most for your setup is someone who specifically wants the VS-5RS in your specific size and offset, in your specific brushed clear finish, who is happy with Federal 595 RS-RR tires, and is local enough to not need shipping — that person is not me.
