Two day Autox event in AZ Oct 27 & 28
 

The Tucson and Phoenix solo clubs are holding a joint 2 day event in Marana, Arizona on Oct. 27 and 28. Marana is a little north of Tucson and south of Phoenix. The site, which is now Marana's regional airport was built for training pilots for WWII. It is a large site with a good surface. Generally the runs there are long and fast. Registration isn't open yet, but I will post a link when it opens.

Thanks for the heads up Kevin. I'll see if we can make it down there as I've never run that site but sounds good.

So would you be coming to trounce me (and many others) in Paul's WRX or in your BRZ? I'm hoping for the BRZ. Those were some impressive runs in Taylor, btw.

Thanks! I don't know. I'll have to check his schedule. I doubt I would take the BRZ, not too motivated to travel to events with it until it gets shocks. I'll barely have tires and the delete by then.

Event is officially on as the Marana Multi-Regional Challenge. I will post when registration is open. The site is large - there have been courses with 70-90 second high speed runs.

It was built as WWII training airport and so the surface is great.

We will have a different course for both days.

Only one of the twins besides me has ever shown up at one our events, c'mon and represent.

We have a little gathering happening on Sunday with a cruise to Sedona. All the info is on ALL ARIZONA FR-S/BRZ OWNERS HOME PAGE thread. I think we have about 6 right now. All are welcome. Just a fun cruise and meet others in the area. Everyone is meeting at my place around 8:30am Sunday. I'm located at power and McDowell in Mesa.

Please note that each day is a separate entry, so people can register for Saturday, Sunday, or both days. There is a discount for registering both days.

There are several hotels in the area for those who will be staying, and that list will be posted shortly on the forum link posted above.

And most important, we will not be running open classes, so it is first come/first served. That is, the sooner you register, the more likely it is that you will get what you want in terms of work assignments and run groups.

If you are new to autox, we will have instructors available.
