Replica TRD carbon fiber fender fins

Hi everyone,

For a long time I have wanted the TRD carbon fiber fender fins, but I have come to terms with never being able to find a set for sale that I can afford. I have decided to go for a replica instead, but all the products I have found seem to be a letdown.

Firstly, does anyone know of any replica (carbon fiber or plastic) that clips onto the fender like OEM? I don't like the idea of only 3m holding the fin on. Additionally, how is the fitment like for the replicas? Lots of them say that they stick directly over the OEM fender garnish, but I fear that this will produce a "protruding" look and wont sit flush in the fender like the TRD. would it be possible to remove the OEM garnish and mount the replica fins directly onto the fender with 3m?

Second, does anyone know of replicas that more closely follow the shape of the real TRD ones? All of the replica "TRD Style" fins I have seen seem to be based of the aimgain fender fins and not the TRD ones. Pics for reference:

I apologize if this has been discussed already or seems schizophrenic. I'm a little nitpicky and am on the autism spectrum so small details like this really bug me.

If people could please reply with advice, wisdom, recommendations, or photos of their fender fins, I would appreciate it greatly. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Just order the actual part from RHDJapan OEM. Look up the part number on the japanese trd website and it'll be in the mail after a month or two.

Best of luck with that. Carbon has been discontinued since ~06/2020. The painted versions stopped production in mid-late 2023 and all that is left is NOS.

I choose the replica CF fins from eBay. Just couldn’t justify the cost of the TRD units.
These are very thin material which looks fine when attached with 3M tape over the OEM garnish. They are secured firmly with no issues after several years in service. You will want some UV protectant applied.

Yahoo Japan Auction is probably your best bet. But, it's rare for those parts to pop up. You can either wait and check every day, or just buy the "non-painted" TRD Fender Fins and get them painted for half the cost. Not too many Japan sites will carry "painted" TRD Fender Fins.

I got a set for $415 (+$40USD to ship from Japan) at the end of September of 2023. Not actually a terrible price. Use Buyee, as its all in English and they make buying from Yahoo Japan easily. There is currently a set for $210 with 4 days left on Yahoo/Buyee

For OP. If need be, I do have a set of the unpainted fins brand new with me if you want them (I have no use for them ATP) and an extra RH CF fin (got for $40 shipped a few years ago). Do not get reps, they suck. None of them clip on and it is only tape. As I will always say, even if you have to drop a bit more money, buy the real product if it is remotely available.

I could add to this even more. People upcharge the cost of the CF ones so much whenever they try and sell them on marketplace. Guys would not back down from $1200, which is ridiculous, if I was devious and not an actual enthusiast I would buy a bunch of these for around $500 and sell them for $800 all day because people do not know how to properly look for products. One of the best things you can figure out how to do is figure out the right places to shop at. Instead of worrying about having to buy replica parts because you're cheap and lazy, just a little time and money can go a long way in getting you a real part (and for these TRD parts they will never lose their value unlike replica parts).

Best place to look for parts:
BlackHawkJapan (if it is still in production)
Yahoo Japan/Buyee (auction)
Crooober (buy out)
