FR-S Stock Carpet Mats - anyone else's doing this?

2 Attachment(s)
I've had my FR-S for just over a month an I noticed my carpet on the driver's side where my left foot rests when not depressing the clutch pedal is starting to "fuzz". Not a big issue, just kind of surprised its not more durable. Attachment 13488Attachment 13489

yeah that's pretty normal for all my cars...i'm surprised though that it's happening after only a month.

Same issue here after a few weeks. I just put the rubber mat down on the driver side and will switch to the carpet mat if/when I ever sell the car.

I've already planned on replacing the carpet so eh.

Once the rainy season starts (and lasts for 10 months) I will get I will the rubberized floor mat on the drivers side.

i'm also waiting for weathertech to come out with prodcuts for our cars. once that comes out, hopefully before winter, the carpets coming out!

I sent them a new product request for their floor liner digital fits.

Yeah I did the new product request for weathertech also. Hopefully they'll release them before winter. Anyone heard if/when Scion or Subaru will release rubber mats for our cars?

howiedoit 08-23-2012 02:48 PM

Mine is the same after 2000mi :(

The floormats in my other cars are much more durable. Even my 96 Lexus floormats are in better shape.

Bonburner 08-23-2012 02:49 PM

lol .. mine did it in the first week .. 300? miles

Wes 08-23-2012 02:54 PM

There is a warning about only having one set of mats in there at a time. If you put the rubber ones in, you should remove the cloth ones.
