So not so much that the new 86 was popular as nobody wanted the Prius.

Old news I'm afraid.. and we're not talking big numbers here.. the GR86 allocation was 500 cars, sold out in 90 seconds.. Toyota found some more late last year but again small numbers..

Not super surprising, Prius switched over to new gen last year, plus with the plug in being the only variant sold, it is notably more expensive than either the GRY or GR86... 33% more expensive in Germany..
