Toyota 86 2014 : Gear Indicator Missing
 

Hello from Malaysia.

I drive a 86 GT Limited Manual 2014 and my gear indicator is on. I was a bit careless today and went pass a hump without stopping. So there was a huge knock. The hump is lower than my car by few centimeters and I went down and check all is ok.

I continue driving and I notice my gear indicator is missing. A quick check when I restart the car, the Gear indicator mode is on. Anyone have any idea? Something broken?

The only thing I've known to reset the gear indicator is a dead battery. Any chance you had to jump-start the car on the same day?
Otherwise, so long as the car drives straight and behaves normally, I wouldn't worry about it.

Gear indicator is a calculation between engine RPM and vehicle speed, except reverse. I would disconnect the battery for 30 min and reset everything.

If its just reset then is ok. I am only worried if any socket broken or something like that. :)
