Looks like Honda beat Toyota to make the EV 86
|
looks like an electric Honda Accord coupe.....
I'd think Prelude would be something a bit more....personable. |
Loved the first 3 generations of the Prelude (sort of lost its way after that for me). This seems a relatively decent current version of those, although the design looks a bit cab forward to me. Overall though I'd consider it, ICE or EV. It will depend on the interior. Seems recent Honda seating is stiffer than I prefer.

Oh FFS, it still has FWD proportions! For the love of God, WHY?!

I'd prefer something 86 sized or smaller, so I will probably wait to see what comes out in the next few years, especially the NE Miata, but it is good to know this might be an option over a Tesla Model 3 for a two door EV that is sportier looking. |

I think the nutballs are right that this is a "close to production" prototype from the interior, proportions, mirror, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if the production version is released "soon" and looking similar. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/atta...1&d=1698268096 https://www.motortrend.com/uploads/2...ition-SE-5.jpg https://pictures.porsche.com/rtt/iri...FRfH438nhVEehv https://www.autolooks.net/uploads/6/...-3_8_orig.jpeg https://www.amalgamcollection.com/cd...g?v=1601652319 |
Okay, so I thought this was an EV. It's apparently a hybrid. So the FWD proportions make sense. It's not a clean sheet "skateboard" architecture EV.
It looks fat and too big. Given Honda's recent track record with reviving hallowed nameplates (Integra, CRZ [basically a CRX]) I have no faith. |
Anyone else get serious 911 vibes from the rear end? Even down to the "H O N D A" on the light bar lol
