Throttle problem, maybe

There's a longer version of this on the forced-induction thread, but part of it, I think, might be of interest here

My OBD read 100% throttle correctly before, but now it's reading max 80.8. I pulled the compressor off and cleaned the throttle body, and the butterfly was wide open with the throttle on the floor. But OBD still shows 80.8% throttle. Either the OBD has gone bad, or something else is still affecting my throttle with the butterfly wide open. I wonder what else could be telling it not to produce WOT. I think it would have to be the TPS, TBS or MAF. At least that's all I can think of.

It's a little hard to tell for sure if I'm getting WOT because my ESC is working again and it scoots right along. How ESC stopped working for a time is a story for the other forum.

have you flashed to the stock tune(without the motor running) to verify it's not in the tune tables you're using?

I haven't tried that, and confess I'd be a little out of my league if I did. I'm concerned that the last time I used the OFT I had a hard time to get it to respond to the tune I wanted. it eventually did. I downloaded all the tunes off of it and have them on file, but I'm concerned about having to switch around.

Not sure what to tell you.

When I see 80%, I immediately think max true throttle position. It's how it's always been on the FA20

Maybe you were looking at a different parameter like commanded throttle, throttle pedal position, or other related throttle position variable

Helps to know that. I'll take a look at the other possible readouts on the OBD. The one I've been using is absolute throttle position.
