School Me: Good All-Around Tire - 18"

Decided to go with 18x8.75 rims for my street setup... School me on tires, I want something that isn't uber loud, has decent tread life, and good in dry/wet weather. It seems the size to go with is 225-40-18 ...... GO

Falken Ziex ZE-612
Nitto NeoGen ZR
Falken Azenis PT-722

I'm trying the new Nitto Motivo, ordered them this morning I'll let you know when they get installed.

Hankook Ventus V12

I've had Continental before and really liked them for reasonable grip, long lasting, stiff sidewalls for good feedback (on a heavy sedan). I've also heard great things about the Ventus V12.

These are by far the best all around tire available today, but you'll pay a premium for them. I think if you're on a tight budget the hankooks or conti DW's are the best, and I would get whichever one is cheaper.

Source : I go through 3-4 sets of tires/year

THIS.

Agreed, hands down the Michelin Super Sports or the budget option being the Continental DWs

Yep, Continental Extreme Contact DWs if you want great all around performance tire that is good in the rain.

If you want a better dry grip tire situation, I would go with the Hankook V12s.

If you are looking for the end all be all tire for all applications - Michelin PSS.
