Chris Harris Drives The Tuthill Porsche 911K
|
Hurrah for a lightweight, high revving, lowish power car. Still not relevant to any of us, but this car I can relate and be excited about.
|
1,000 lbs lighter than an 86, 600 lbs lighter than a Miata, 11,00 rpm redline. Pretty impressive creation..

Sure, 350 is small "by those standards." Everything will be smaller when comparing it to the largest in the category. If you need 500 HP to get excited about a car you might be setting yourself up for disappointment. At least on this forum. I've driven 350 hp 86s that are more exciting than 600 hp Porsches. |

I haven't heard that he has sold his Deux Cheveau yet, so, yeah.

Super expensive go kart. I have a friend with a Smart car. Keep chiding him about doing the Hayabusa swap. ;)

I'd be happy with that thing if it was 150whp. 1800lbs wet and 11k RPM  |

I can show you the build sheet when the new engine went in in 1985. Very special. |
And how do you get carbon fiber fuch?

Low horsepower. Boy have times changed.
|
Yep. That things has almost the pwr/wt ratio of a Veyron !
On a side note Euro P-cars had a bit more hp. The 3.3 put out 300hp (and 320hp in Uber-rare Turbo S guise) if I recall correctly. Not having cats helped. |

Yes, 350 HP is lowish today. Quote:

So much to love about this car.

If I had the money I would have 4 of them. An 1800 lb. 911. Driving a true 911 fast is the biggest thrill there is. |
