Pre-Painted Auto Parts??

1 Attachment(s)
My wife managed to scuff up the bumper extension on her Silverado. Part is plastic but would need some sanding, primer and paint to repair. New part is less than $100. I've found a few places that'll supply a new part and paint factory color. Prices vary a bit but shipped around $350ish.

Anyone try these pre-painted parts places?? If so,, how was the color match?? Looking at REVEMOTO.COMM

Truck is a 2019 basic white.

if you ask a body/paint guy, they're all horrible!

i've used them a number of times, and will say they're good enough for me. in certain light, the fade/tint with be slightly off due to the new part on an old vehicle, which is what paint/body guy's specialize in matching, but they also cost more!

She swears someone hit her. LOL,, I dont think so. It's so high up and super rough I'm thinking it was a building.

We dont have many body shops here but do have a couple. I'm going to swing by tomorrow and see what they say. I posted on a paint & body group on FB and prices are all over the place for a repair. I'm guessing $500 at a minimum.

Ive been looking at something similar off ebay for a new bumper for my FRS. I figure the paint should pass a 10ft test which is all that matters to me (plus the plastic bumper next to metal fenders/hood is usually a bit different anyway, even brand new

The thing that worries me more than the paint is evidently they come folded up? Its still warm out so I'm kinda tempted to try now so it can bend back to shape in the sun more easily.

I bought a folded one. Put it out in the sun on my back lawn and it unfolded fine over about 2 days. The bumper color didn't exactly match my body, but I think it passes the 10 ft test.

yeah i bought one of these folded, pre-painted bumpers for an altima i was flipping. it looked ok i guess but the whole car was still so shitty it clearly looked a bit too nice compared to the rest of the paint
