Which first, brakes or coilovers?
So I've got the car up in the air and I've got all the parts I need to do coilovers, rotors, pads and SS lines.
Any recommendations on which order I should do these in? I'm kind of thinking remove rotors to get them out of the way so I have more space to work on the coilovers, and say brakes for last. Sound about right? |
Sounds about right.

I'd do the coilovers first and just leave the brakes as is until you're done. When installing coilovers/struts, many times you're maneuvering the hub/rotor assembly around to line it up with the bottom on the strut/coilover. That includes getting the rotor dirty, scratching it, etc.
The problem with removing the rotor is you have to remove the caliper, so then you have that dangling around on it's own... if you don't reattach it, which is an extra step. I usually use a hanger and hang it from the spring above, which wouldn't be there when removing the strut. Coilovers first. Then brakes. Just me. |
