found! source of dash or instrument cluster rattle/buzzing
 

finally FFS, found the source of an annoying rattle I have been chasing for a while. over coarse chip road surfaces I have this buzzing kind of rattle that sounds like it is coming from the instrument cluster. It isn't.

It's the plastic vanity mirror cover in the sunvisor!! plan on putting some felt tape on the inside of the cover to stop it rattling.

I have had the dash and cluster apart at least twice, maybe more, looking for this rattle.

Mine rattles from the EPS damper and the dash vent close to the windshield on the driver side. I think the retaining clip broke off.
