Salvage TRD part 2
Hi guys,
So basically the car is almost done after 6 months of waiting .:bonk: First of all, is the airbag module VIN specific? Second, can I clear limp mode without any issues? And last, what else do I need to change on the car, so it can back as brand new.(Repair and prices $ CAD, will be at the end.) The quarter panel, the suspension, airbags, seat belts and bumpers have been replaced. Ohhh and just look at the end the labor the mechanic charged me. Now hes asking for extra but since End of May he didnt do nothing. As soon that I gave him money, he stopped working and started asking for more and more and more. Lets be frl its been 1 month since hes not touching the car and I want to take it out because he didnt do what I asked he replaced stuff yes but left everything with 50% done. Anyways, the only thing missing is to finish the other 50% he left undone, paint and Ill be able to drive my beauty again :happyanim: Repairs and prices -quarter panel 500$ -4 suspension oem 100 $ -tail lights Valenti used 300$ -air bags seat+ window+ airbag module+ seat belt 500$ (from a friend 2018 GT86 blown engine) he went for the 2nd gen :thanks: -right fender (rebuilt) 150$ -17+headlights used 350$ -tires 200$ (old summer tires) -rims 700$ -Fog light 100$ -side skirt (rebuilt) 100 Totals parts 2700$ Labor: No damn idea but he charged me 6000$ He only did the quarter which is not totally done my friend will finish the welding, 1 suspension on passenger side in the back, install seat belt, air bag window and thats all :suicide: |
So I just recently got my car back after 5 months. I had the rear driver's quarter panel, driver's door, rear bumper, driver's side rear lower control arm,and one wheel all repair or replaced. Also, they had to get a new driver's side airbag. My insurance gave me a check for $5400 to give to the body shop, and the shop didn't ask for a cent more.
Just doing a quick conversion to CAD,it's about $7200. I'd say that you're getting a deal as far as price goes for the work that he's doing.6 months is a long time though. |
