How to log cylinder misfire count with an OBD 2 Reader ?
My engine is misfiring at idle, it's very subtle but there's definitely something wrong.
I'd like to log the misfire count but I cannot find that data in my OBD 2 app ( Car Scanner ) I'm guessing I have to add a custom PID or something ? I also have an OFT, but same, I can't find how to log cylinder misfire count Thank you :thanks: |
If a code is showing, it should tell which cylinder is misfiring.
Back in the day, we used to pull the spark plug wires off one at a time till the engine speed changed. Never mind me - It's PAST ma nap time - :bonk: |
Thank you ! It's not throwing a CEl but I can definitely feel some intermittent vibration and RPM dip at idle (without the AC)

If much over 50,000, it may be time for some new plugs. :iono: |

Hey guys, thanks for the help
I actually managed to log the Misfire with the OFT, I just had to go back to the settings and set "My car" to GT86 I had a lot of misfires on cylinder 4, changed the port injectors, coilpacks and all of the sparks, it made things slighty better but the problem was still there. Went back to the garage, changed the direct injector on cylinder 4, now all good |
