Subaru +1/ Toyota/Scion -1
So the time has come to change out my oil and oil filter. I make a stop at the local toyota/scion dealer to buy an OEM oil filter. Toyota charges $26, i pass this up and head over to the Subaru service department to find the same filter for about $11. Wow, looks like i'll have to do some comparative shopping when doing maintenance.

Holy, this is one time I actually see something cheaper in Canada over the US!
Here, Toyota wants $17, Subaru wants $8. Damn, it's rare that we save a buck here. :) |
May make a bulk order of filters from Canadaaaa lol!

It's because you've got Service Boost! Haha. First 2yrs/25k free maintenance ;)

I purchased an oil filter for my FR-S for around $8.00 at a Toyota dealer here in Las Vegas. I did an early oil change myself.

I wonder if I can walk in and walk out with the oil filter and oil and do it myself instead of letting them do my oil change

All of you guys are seem to be overpaying for oil filters ;)
My dealership:  |
Or get them online with gasket for less than $6.50 + shipping...buy in bulk and save:

I usually just go to advance auto parts and see what oil specials they have. If it's appealing, I go with that. Half the time they'll have free filters or a nice rebate. If not, local dealer hookups
