Teach Your Child…

Saw this post in my social & some were funny, some were great. Plus we got some parents in this forum (me including). I’m pretty sure you guys got some valuable or funny ones.

Let’s see how it goes.

Teach your child…
1. Never shake a man's hand sitting down.
2. The man at the BBQ Grill is the closest thing to a king.
3. Return a borrowed car with a full tank of gas.
4. A sport car is worth 1,000 words.
5. After writing an angry email, read it carefully. Then delete it.
6. Give credit. Take the blame.
7. Take time to snuggle your pets, they love you so much and are always happy to see you… except Shiba Inu.
8. Be confident and humble at the same time.
9. In all things lead by example not explanation.
10. Dress how you want to be addressed.

Cool.

I have a couple that come to mind from my mom.

Say please, thank you, etc. Being polite is free, and often pays off.

When meeting new people, or a date of something, don't bore them talking about youself. Ask them questions about them. If they want to know about you, they will ask.

1. Listening is more important than speaking
2. Respect your elders
3. Life is not fair
4. The world does not revolve around you
5. Respect is earned, not given
6. No one owes you anything
7. If you want something, figure out how to earn it (see 5)

It’s corn dog to mouth, never mouth to corn dog.

The son would beg to differ.

it's a lot easier to lower your standards than raise the quality

You don’t have to have kids. I mean that’s weird because I learned that without my parents teaching me. I tell the students though. Vasectomy ain’t no big deal.
