Do I need spacers? 2 camber bolts with stock wheels and suspension

I installed whiteline camber bolt on top and SPC camber bolt on bottom on my 2023 BRZ. I can but hardly fit finger in gap between spring and tires on front. Is that enough or I need to get extended bolts and spacers?

Finger width would be fine IMO.

marco_mc22 05-28-2023 09:48 AM

Super fine.

How much camber is that ?

Yoshoobaroo 05-28-2023 11:04 AM

I'd make sure you have 10mm (TUV requirement, so safe starting point).

fingers are too variable for measurement.

I have the following:

20mm front spacer
25mm rear spacer
Camber bolts
Super pro rear arm and toe links
KW V3 - finger space between top of tyre and front wing... All super duper good!!

Should be about 2.5-2.7°. I am doing alignment next week.

Would check again. What's TUV?

I assume you meant distance on outside of the wheel? If so, my question was about inside.

I checked again, it's very tight, my finger tip fits when pushed, I would say it's about 5mm.

Unsure what the distance was when I had the spacers installed while I still had the original dampers but with Eibach sportline springs. I just wanted the wheels pushed out.. oh I had the alignment done at the time.

I ended up ordering 3mm spacer last night, if alignment guy thinks I need it, I would put those on.

Will you need extended studs as well ?

RToyo86 05-29-2023 05:42 PM

3mm technically clears but doesn't leave much stud left for nut to grab onto. Not sure I'd feel comfortable running that on track but that's me.

Some 2.5" Arps would solve that.

If I had to install spacers then I am ordering RPF1 17x8" with 35mm offset with 225 tires the next day. That would add about 6-7mm to clearance. I am planning to get wheels anyways, I was just waiting for these tires to wear out.

Looks more than I have on my track setup. Send it!

ruturaj001 06-01-2023 09:52 PM

Just an update, I didn't end up using spacers. I used drill bits from smoother end to figure out how much space there is, it's between 6mm and 7mm. I am thinking about hypergram wheels now when time comes, they add about 8mm and 225 tires would take 5mm out of it, leaving me at ideal 10mm clearance.
