Referee Smog Check with supercharger and tune?
Anyone able to pass a referee smog check with supercharger and tune? We have a Kraftwerks kit (with CARB EO sticker) and Delicious tune. Also have Invidia N1 catback. Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.

If your ALL your hardware AND tune are carb approved, yes. If not, you will not pass. Catback does not matter. |
Email kraftworks and get the CARB tune for the supercharger and flash it. Should pass as long as nothing is broken/omitted.

I have a 2014 with an edelbrock supercharger and their carb tune and had to get my car smogged I think last year. I had a letter from them with the carb number and two stickers that you need to have. I went to the same star smog test station down the street that I always go to. He just took the carb number, looked up some stuff on his computer, and then inspected the engine against a list. Plugged in and ran his test, he put the two stickers on, I passed and paid him. No issues for me.
In front of me was a guy with a bmw that he could tell had just flashed his ECU. He told him to leave it and come back in two weeks. I guess by then he can smog it but not right away? So if you are putting a different tune in to get it smogged, I suggest you do so a couple of weeks before you go to the test station. |
I got a ref ticket before and went to east la college to get it done. I left my innovate supercharger and put it everything else back to stock. I did have an ignition amplifier and over pipe. The ref gave slight grief about the ignition amplifier. He look at the carb number online and picture of it and the supercharger itself didnt have the carb number. I hope this help
