Automatic Transmission Overheating
Hi all,
I'm currently racing my 2017 Toyota 86 in a race series in Canada. Normally I've had no issues but because our weather is now reaching 30-40 Celsius 100-110 faranheit, the last 2 races my transmission has gone from paddle shifters to automatically going back to automatic mode which not only obviously is slower but caused me to almost lose control when the revs dropped going into a turn. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there an transmission cooler? Or better oil that will help. I am not a car guy from a mechanics standpoint and only drive/race so any suggestions, links, advice would be greatly appreciated. I am also just assuming it's the transmission overheating because my engine temperature is normal and I only have this issue during races when it's hot out. Thanks Rsh |

Ya that thread doesn't really answer my question because I'm not getting any error codes and it's only when I'm racing.
