Headers catted vs catless (Gen2)?

Besides emissions requirements, are there other advantages of a catted header vs a catless header? Noise level? I had a catless UEL Tomei on my Gen1 and a Perrin catback exhaust, and I never got any error codes, but I don't know of the same will be true of the Gen2.

Any experience on something like the JDL UEL catted vs catless headers for the Gen2 regarding error codes or noise level? What if the overpipe+midpipe is the ultra quiet?

Besides emissions, stink!

Any decent, modern, properly spec'd cat, on a BRZ isn't going to loose much power. Coupe-few hp maybe.

There are mixed report of catted headers causing a CEL on Gen 2s, tuned or not. My guess is that CELs are likely come from cheaper cats being used.

Going catless becomes more complicated because not only will you certainly have a CEL, but you will find fewer sources willing to delete any emissions related CELs due to the more recent EPA crackdown.
