P0700 CODE!!!
 

So I figured out the code is P0700

The previous owner decided to change the trans fluid and very shortly after like 1-2days the 2nd gear started to act the way it is currently. I’ve come to a conclusion that the fluid changed fucked it cause everyone knows to not change the fluid if it’s never been done or hasn’t been regularly maintained. So it cause the 2nd gear to slip. But is there a way I can fix this. Should I add more fluid or do a whole another fluid change? I don’t know how to come about it worse comes to worse I’ll buy another trans

Take it to the dealer for a fluid change. You can try doing it yourself, but it requires Techstream to monitor fluid temp when properly filling.

So I should get it changed again? Cause the last owner did it like 2 months ago already do you think doing it again will help? Genuinely wondering trying to understand the thought process cause maybe it’s something I didn’t know

It depends. If the previous owner had it serviced by a dealer, it probably won’t help. But, if the fluid change was done at home and wasn’t done correctly, the fill level could be off.

P0700 seems to indicate a problem in the control unit, so still probably a good idea to take it to the dealership.

This is bullshit.

Also, you figured out nothing, P0700 tells you nothing, it says "transmission control system" in the engine control module to tell you to go read transmission DTCs in the TCM. That's the first place to start, but since the issue follows someone touching it, assume human error too.
