Everyone ready for some great racing from Sonoma this weekend?

The SRO GR86 Cup Series opens with it's first 2 races at Sonoma Raceway, this weeked March 31st - April 2nd.

I think he's going to do really well with his experience in a cup series + his TCA BRZ experience.

This is exciting. I do wish the promotions were doing a better job informing people because when trying to Google if there was a live broadcast and going to multiple sites turned up nothing.

I imagine a lot people would really get into this series if they only knew. I remember when I first heard about it becoming a thing the amount of information available was scant.

Agreed! I think it'll be really exciting racing. Hoping to get Gresham back on our podcast later this year and maybe another driver to talk about it after a few races.

It's going to be a stout series, lots of established/known drivers from other series, and lots of new talent.

Expect to hear O'Connell, Bocuse, Clemons, DaSilva, Gonzalez, Piscitelli & Pombo quite a bit along with Wagner.

I'm pumped for the Garcia brothers, Alex & Michael. They are local to me and have participated in HPDE for many years. Hope their transition to momentum cars is successful! I know they've been working hard testing in Miata's! And Zotz Racing will get them the support they need.

Lol, GR86 dealerships gonna be hoppin’ on Monday.

Based on my initial reading the series was going to allow $20k worth of additional options over base on the GR86 Cup, is that the case?

Could someone link or list the spec sheet? I'd love to have a point of reference.

Are all brake pads the same and do when know what they are? Also do we know if all the spring rates are the same and what they are?

It's a spec series, so I would think so.

They have a few options on spring rates, but limited to what the series specced. All pretty darn soft.
